BYD Seal 6 EV
The BYD Seal 06 EV stands on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform that underpins most of the brand’s modern electric cars. This vehicle could be recognized by a closed front end without a grille. It has narrow headlights and a trapeze-shaped air intake. The new model adopts flush door handles, a sleek roofline, and a single taillight unit. Dimensions of the BYD Seal 06 EV are 4720/1880/1495 mm with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. For clarity, the electric variant of this model is 110 mm shorter and 5 mm wider than its plug-in hybrid sibling. However, the wheelbase of the Seal EV was stretched by 30 mm to 2,820 mm. The longer wheelbase aims to enhance the driving comfort and interior space. The Seal 06 EV interior stays in line with other BYD-branded models. It has a large rotatable 15.6-inch screen and a small LCD instrument panel. They adopt the DiPlink 100 infotainment system. The gear shifter of this model sits behind the three-spoke steering wheel with the BYD inscription on it. The car’s center tunnel has two wireless charging pads and a pair of cup holders. This sedan has a 65-liter frunk and 24 storage spaces inside the cabin. The trunk space reaches 423 liters.The entry-level BYD Seal 06 EV powertrain adopts a 110 kW (148 hp) electric motor in the rear axle powered by an LFP battery for 46.08 kWh. This model offers 470 km of CLTC range. The second variant of the Seal 06 EV adopts a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor (RWD) and an LFP pack for 56.6 kWh. This variant can run up to 545 km under CLTC conditions. The top speed of the Seal 07 EV reaches 160 km/h. The Seal 06 EV’s battery can be charged from 30 to 80% in 24 minutes.
